Hello Makarios Conference Friends,
It was a joy to be with you at Makarios 2025 in Rome. Whether we shared a session, a meal, or a brief conversation, I'm grateful our paths crossed.
Our gathering centered on neighbor-love and human flourishing. As I shared in my paper, I believe that true neighbor-love is only possible when we first know ourselves as deeply beloved children of God.
From this place of belovedness, we can love our neighbors with humility and courage, even amid pain and difference. This inside-out transformation is a journey I'd be honored to share with you.

-- Master's degree in Choral Conducting, New England Conservatory (I have directed church choirs for about 30 years. I play violin and sing alto in semi-professional choirs. I'm trying to learn to play guitar, a bit unsuccessfully.)
-- Master's degree in Library and Information Science, Simmons University (I was an award-winning public school library teacher for a dozen years [NBCT] where I taught reluctant teens how to do research.)

-- BA in Music and English from Mount Holyoke College
